Whether you’re new to Arc Raiders or a returning veteran, playing solo presents unique challenges with ARC Raiders BluePrints. With no teammates to rely on, every decision—from movement to looting—can make the difference between victory and a quick respawn. Drawing from over 1,500 hours of gameplay experience, here’s a comprehensive guide packed with actionable tips to maximize your survivability and make your solo raids much more enjoyable.
1. Smart Movement: Gather Information While You Move
One of the biggest mistakes solo players make is sprinting blindly across the map. Instead, movement should always serve a dual purpose: relocation and intel gathering.
Slide and Peek: When moving through dangerous zones, slide quickly, then turn to scan behind you. This allows you to spot threats while staying mobile.
Stay Ahead of Enemies: By understanding the layout and checking your surroundings, you’ll avoid ambushes and make informed decisions on where to go next.
Information is everything in an extraction shooter, and movement is your first opportunity to gather it.
2. Barricades: Your Best Friend in Combat and Looting
Barricades are a game-changer for solo players. They’re not just for defense during firefights—they’re also essential while looting.
Loot Safely: After eliminating an opponent, don’t loot immediately in the open. Place barricades on likely threat angles first. This gives you cover and prevents sudden third-party attacks.
Dynamic Use: Keep barricades ready during movement; they can save your life whether retreating, holding a position, or preparing for the next fight.
3. Loot Strategically: Pause, Peek, and Collect
Looting may seem straightforward, but fully committing to it without awareness is a fatal mistake.
Partial Looting: Grab some items, then pause to check your surroundings.
Peek Frequently: Take advantage of the third-person perspective to peek around corners and gather information while looting.
This method reduces the risk of being caught off guard and allows you to maintain a tactical advantage.
4. Know Spawn Points: Predict Enemy Movements
Understanding where players spawn is crucial for both navigation and combat strategy.
Map Awareness: Learn key spawn points on maps like Buried City to anticipate enemy movements.
Safe Routes: By knowing spawn locations, you can choose safer paths, avoid unnecessary conflict, or set up advantageous engagements.
Knowledge of spawns transforms the map from chaotic to predictable—giving you a major edge.
5. Master Sound and Visual Cues
Arc Raiders provides subtle audio and visual information that can give solo players an edge.
Sound Management: Tap your movement keys lightly to minimize noise while sneaking. Walking slowly with standard controls still generates sound, so adjust accordingly.
Visual Intel: Smoke from firefights, destroyed objects, or environmental effects can indicate enemy positions and recent activity. Use these cues to approach strategically.
6. Utilize Grenades Effectively: Light Impacts and Gas
Grenades are more than just damage tools—they’re essential for controlling engagements and movement.
Light Impact Grenades: Perfect for clearing corners, damaging enemies, and gaining an early advantage in tight spaces.
Gas Grenades: Underrated but highly effective, gas grenades slow enemy movement and stamina, isolate targets, and create opportunities to escape or pursue. Use them for crowd control, third-party engagements, or tactical retreats.
7. Information Is Power: Always Think Ahead
Every solo encounter in Arc Raiders is a battle of information. Whether it’s knowing spawn points, checking surroundings during looting, or interpreting sound and visual cues, the player with better awareness usually comes out on top.
By combining strategic movement, barricade usage, calculated looting, and intelligent grenade deployment, your chances of survival increase dramatically. Solo play can be tough, but with the right approach, it can also be incredibly rewarding.
