The Han 86 is a straightforward assault rifle for medium-range multiplayer fights in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. It rewards steady aim and sensible positioning more than reckless pushes. While CoD MW4 Boosting offers another way to approach your time in multiplayer, learning how to control this rifle will help you make better decisions in the fights themselves.
How should you use the Han 86 in multiplayer
Keep the Han 86 in the middle of the action without putting yourself in the open. Medium range gives you room to aim deliberately and makes it easier to take advantage of the rifle’s reliable handling. Look for positions where you can see an approach while keeping a wall or other cover close by.
Before crossing an exposed area, decide where you’ll move if an opponent appears. That small habit matters because a good firing position isn’t just about the view ahead. It also gives you somewhere to retreat when a fight stops going your way.
Don’t treat every sightline as an invitation to fire. If the target is far away and you can’t keep your aim steady, closing the distance or finding a safer angle may be the better call. The Han 86 is most useful when you choose fights that suit it rather than forcing a long engagement from an exposed position.
After an exchange, reassess before stepping out again. You might have lost sight of the opponent, or another player may be watching the same route. Moving to a nearby piece of cover can give you a clearer approach without committing to a long run through open ground.
How do you control the Han 86 at longer range
Use controlled bursts against distant targets instead of holding the trigger throughout the fight. Pause briefly between bursts to bring your aim back onto the target, then fire again when you’ve settled. If your shots are drifting, slow down rather than trying to force the finish.
Cover makes that rhythm easier to manage. Peek, take the shots you can control, and move back into safety if you need to reset your aim. Standing in the same exposed spot while correcting your aim gives the other player more time to respond.
At medium range, pay attention to how the rifle moves as you fire. You don’t need to turn every encounter into a distant burst fight, but you should stop firing when your aim has wandered away. A short reset can be more useful than continuing to shoot without a clear line on the target.
Practice the same approach across different sightlines. Start with a position that gives you a clear view and nearby cover, then work on keeping each burst deliberate. As you get comfortable, you’ll have a better sense of which targets you can engage confidently and which ones are better approached from another angle.
What should you prioritize in a Han 86 build
Build around recoil control, aiming stability, and practical handling. Recoil control supports the burst approach at distance, while stability helps you keep your aim composed before and during an engagement. Handling matters because a rifle that feels awkward can make it harder to react when a fight develops quickly.
Choose your priorities based on the problem you’re actually having. If distant bursts keep pulling away from the target, focus on control. If the rifle feels difficult to bring into a fight comfortably, give handling more attention rather than chasing control alone.
Keep your testing simple: use the rifle across different maps, take medium-range fights, and notice where you lose control or feel exposed. The Han 86 works best when your build and positioning support each other.
