It’s unclear when Blizzard will release any of those titles–and with Blizzard, it might be sometime. The big show at BlizzCon was a welcome sign for Blizzard, which is still in the middle of a dispute over its ruling on an World of Warcraft player who declared his support for the Hong Kong protests. However, BlizzCon 2019 did open the possibility of a continuation of Blizzard’s major franchises in 2020. And even when the games aren’t accessible next year it’s likely that they’ll be on a lot of minds.
Even though we’ve not had to wait for them as long as we have been waiting for a new Half-Life game, there are a few other beloved franchises that are getting their sequels (and remakes) in 2020. Square Enix is releasing the first World of Warcraft of its World of Warcraft Remake in March which will bring the game to the fore in the past 22 years. The first portion of the remake is the portion in World of Warcraft that takes place in Midgar, but we’re still not sure how many World of Warcrafts it will span, how long it will last in all, or when it’ll all be released.
P2Pah Critic Zorine Te reviewed the film and saidthat ” World of Warcraft is designed for the enjoyment of the video game enthusiasts. The World of Warcraft universe serves more than just tacked-on references in this fantasy film, it is the basis of the story, characters, and cinematic style. It is unfortunate that while it faithfully recreates the game, some solid shortcomings prevent it from being a complete film. Yet, there are plenty of moments for World of Warcraft fans to enjoy.”
