In FC 27, the strongest route to a more competitive Ultimate Team is to buy one premium attacker after launch supply settles, add one midfield link, and keep a reserve for the November 24 to December 1 Beaver Moon window; FC 27 Coins can fund that plan without spreading your budget across all 17 Team 2 cards. Olise, Ginola, Valverde and Laudehr give you clearer roles than the deeper group of 85-rated items. Check every live card before spending, since leaked positions and secondary stats can change.
How should you build an FC 27 squad around Team 2
Start with one attacker and one support player, not the entire 17-card release. Michael Olise is the cleanest attacking target at 92 overall, while Federico Valverde or Laudehr can give the midfield a more useful foundation. This approach keeps your squad competitive without leaving every position tied to one limited promo.
Olise fits a right-sided role that cuts inside, with reported 93 Dribbling and 91 Passing. His pace and shooting need checking on the live item, so his overall rating alone should not decide the purchase. Valverde makes more sense for a balanced setup, while Laudehr suits a hybrid squad that needs a different league or nation connection.
Scott McTominay belongs in the practical category rather than the headline category. He can help solve a squad-building requirement, but he should not take the budget meant for a player who will start every match. Build around the position you actually use, then fill the remaining gaps with cheaper links after the main purchase.
Which FC 27 attackers deserve the biggest budget
Ginola deserves the largest premium for pace-focused teams, while Olise offers the best reported overall rating at 92. Ginola, Kvaratskhelia and Messi are all listed at 90 overall, but their match roles are very different. Pick the card that fixes a tactical weakness instead of paying for the biggest name.
Ginola’s reported 91 Pace and 92 Dribbling make him the easiest fit for a fast attacking setup. He should hold demand better than most of the release because the supply of a Hero item is usually tighter than that of standard player cards. His price can still soften after launch, so a purchase makes more sense when he is a planned starter rather than a luxury bench option.
Messi is a creator, not a pure runner, based on the leaked 91 Dribbling, 90 Passing and 80 Pace. He works best behind a striker or in a system that lets him receive between midfield and defence. Kvaratskhelia gives you a strong left-sided option, but his smaller improvement over the Gold item points to a smaller sensible premium than Olise’s upgrade.
plus 1 reached 90 overall with Raphinha, while Team 2 raises the ceiling to 92 and includes four items at 90 or higher. That makes a Team 2 attacker a sensible centrepiece beside a Team 1 defender or midfielder. You get variety without forcing the whole squad into one release.
When should you hold value through Beaver Moon
Wait 48 to 72 hours after launch before buying most 85-rated cards, then hold useful items through November 6 if you plan to use them during Beaver Moon. Heavy pack supply and duplicate sales usually pressure the lower-rated group first. The strongest cards, especially Ginola and Olise, often fall less because fewer copies reach the market.
plus 2 is scheduled to leave packs on November 6, while the upgrade window is expected to run from November 24 to December 1. Every eligible item is expected to receive one face stat raised to 99 and full chemistry in its listed position during that period. The exact stat for each player is not named, so current performance should remain the basis for your buying decision.
Full in-position chemistry is the safer reason to hold. A card that sits off chemistry in a hybrid lineup can become much easier to use for that week, which supports demand after the pack period ends. Selling on November 6 and buying back later also costs a transaction fee, so holding is cleaner for an item already starting in your squad.
Keep some funds untouched for the upgrade week and for Squad Building Challenges that may ask for high-rated fodder. Evolution eligibility for the Ultimate Scream boost has not been confirmed, so an Evolution should not justify paying extra for a Team 2 item. Compare the live card screen with every leaked number before committing.
Choose one starter, wait for the first supply wave to settle, and protect enough budget for Beaver Moon rather than chasing every 85-rated card. When you have picked the player you will actually use, you can check cheap EA FC 27 Coins as one funding option, then keep the rest for the late-November upgrade and any squad challenge that improves your team.
