He continued to state that it was “pivotal” that Garona be viewed as being a “fulcrum function” between orcs and humans.
“What is the most sensible thing for us is she is someone who is a marginalized person in both cultures,” Jones explained. “She seeks to find a base with both.”
The director confirmed that this scene was cut when asked for the World of Warcraft sequel could provide more information about Garona’s early history.
“To be real, there’s no need for to make a sequel. It’s in the extended version, and it was in the film until we got closer to when the film would come in,” the actor said. “The explanation is clear in our world, and the justification for her existence makes total sense. ”
Furthermore, Jones said scenes in World of Warcraft ‘s theatrical version do offer some insight into the character of Garona. You just need to look for them.
“If you watch the movie for a second time, and you consider her reactions to characters and what they are saying, you can quite possibly come up with a solution,” he said.
Another thing that was cut from World of Warcraft ‘s theatrical version was a musical Easter egg that could have linked the film to his previous works, Moon and Source Code.
