On PlayStation 4, Derailed feels like a mission built around one big question: can you actually land on a moving train without losing control? Trevor’s Sanchez dirt bike makes that opening run tense and messy in the best way. You race over rough ground, line up with the tracks, and use a rise beside the railway as a launch point. The first-person camera makes every bump matter. Players browsing GTA 5 Accounts may already know the setup, but this mission still stands out because the action begins before anyone fires a shot.
A Risky Plan Born From Pressure
Michael arrives at Trevor’s trailer with a serious problem hanging over him. His debt to Martin Madrazo has to be settled, and the situation involving Patricia has made everything more personal. Trevor, naturally, does not suggest something sensible. He wants to take a Merryweather freight train and assumes it is carrying something valuable. Michael knows the idea sounds reckless, yet he needs a way out. That uneasy agreement gives the mission its edge. Neither man is acting from trust. They are acting because the alternatives look worse.
Getting on the Train
Trevor’s section rewards patience more than speed. Stay close to the railway, keep the bike straight, and do not hit the jump at an awkward angle. Once you land on the freight cars, the narrow roofs leave little room for correction. The train shakes, the view shifts, and the locomotive seems farther away than it first appeared. Reaching the front lets Trevor take control and drive the train toward the bridge, where Michael is waiting on the Alamo Sea in a Dinghy.
Mission stage Main focus Useful approach
Bike approach Timing and balance Use the raised ground beside the tracks
Train ride Steady movement Make small adjustments on the car roofs
Wreckage fight Protection and awareness Watch the water and bridge supports
River escape Boat handling Follow the current and avoid sharp rocks
From Wreckage to Open Water
The collision at Raton Canyon changes the whole mood. Steel folds, containers drop into the river, and Michael has to find the orange container below the surface. He opens it with a sticky charge, but there is no quiet search afterward. Merryweather boats, helicopters, and bridge shooters close in fast. Michael needs the Minigun for nearby targets, then a thermal-scope rifle for threats hidden in the metalwork above. It is easy to focus on one direction and miss another, so quick movement matters.
What the Job Really Sets Up
After Trevor finds the briefcase, the pair flee through rapids, rocks, and falling water before reaching the Pacific. Ron has left a BF Injection and a Vapid Sadler on the beach. Trevor gives Michael the valuables so Patricia can return to Martin and Michael can clear his debt. Then the real purpose of the job becomes clear: Trevor wants the old crew back together for the Union Depository score. Players planning their next online purchase often look for cheap GTA 5 Online Money, but this story mission is less about cash than the fragile partnership it rebuilds.
Derailed is GTA 5 at its most chaotic: a dirt-bike leap, a train crash, a bridge full of snipers and a wild river getaway. Less grinding, more action, and a smoother way to play Los Santos.
