Looking for unusual gear in Diablo 4 Season 14? Diablo 4 Gold can help with general character progression, but some Unique items are worth chasing simply because they change how a build plays. Kleos, Spear of Athulua is one of them. This all-class Unique polearm can summon a Valkyrie when you cast skills, giving your character an extra fighter during combat.
What Is Kleos, Spear of Athulua?
Kleos is a Unique polearm that can be used across different classes, provided the character can equip the weapon. Its main attraction is the Valkyrie effect rather than a simple increase to weapon damage.
When you cast skills, Kleos has a chance to summon a Valkyrie that fights alongside you for a limited time. This makes the weapon particularly interesting for builds that use skills frequently.
Players who want to buy Diablo 4 Gold should remember that gold does not guarantee this Unique. Kleos is still obtained through the game’s normal loot system, so the main requirement is consistent endgame farming.
Is Kleos Good in Season 14?
Kleos is not automatically the best weapon for every class. A strong Legendary weapon can still outperform it when a build depends on specific Aspect combinations, weapon affixes, or optimized Tempering bonuses.
However, Kleos is worth testing if you enjoy:
• Fast skill rotations
• Companion-style combat
• Off-meta builds
• Builds that frequently cast abilities
• Experimenting with different Unique effects
The Valkyrie can add extra pressure while you focus on positioning and using your main skills. It is especially fun in dense enemy packs where the additional combat presence has more opportunities to contribute.
How To Get Kleos
There does not appear to be a dedicated Lair Boss loot table that specifically targets Kleos. Because of this, players should treat it as a general Unique drop rather than relying on one boss.
Good farming options include:
1. Nightmare Dungeons – Clear quickly and collect large amounts of gear.
2. Helltides – Farm enemies, open chests, and collect additional rewards.
3. World Bosses – Take part whenever they spawn for extra loot.
4. Gathering Legions – Useful for experience and equipment.
5. Pandemonium Ruptures – Take advantage of their increased enemy density.
6. Purveyor of Curiosities – Spend Murmuring Obols for another chance at high-rarity gear.
If you are trying to save resources while farming, cheap Diablo 4 Gold can be useful for ordinary expenses, but your main focus should remain on activities that generate equipment and seasonal materials.
Season 14 Item Improvements
Season 14 gives Unique items more room to compete with other gear. Uniques now have two guaranteed affixes, while Unique, Mythic Unique, and Iconic Mythic items can have their affixes modified through Enchanting.
This matters when a Kleos drop has a useful core effect but comes with an undesirable supporting stat. Instead of immediately salvaging it, check whether the item can be improved for your build.
The new Mythic system also gives players another reason to keep interesting Unique drops. Any Unique can potentially become a Mythic Unique, while Mythic versions receive maximum-value affix rolls.
How To Farm Kleos Efficiently
Rather than repeatedly running one activity, build a farming route around several endgame sources. Start with Helltides or Pandemonium Ruptures, complete Whispers when they overlap with your route, and use Nightmare Dungeons when you want focused experience and gear.
Keep useful Unique drops instead of automatically dismantling every copy. If you eventually find a strong Kleos with useful rolls, it can become the foundation for an experimental build.
For players looking at Diablo 4 Gold for sale, keep in mind that the real value of Kleos comes from its Unique effect and how well it fits your build, not from its vendor value.
Final Thoughts
Kleos, Spear of Athulua is a fun choice for players who want something different from the usual damage-focused weapon setup. The Valkyrie effect gives combat a distinctive feel and can work especially well with fast-casting builds.
It may not replace the best-in-slot weapon for every meta build, but that is not really the point. Season 14 is a good time to experiment with unusual Uniques, Mythic upgrades, and alternative playstyles. Keep farming, improve promising drops, and Diablo 4 Gold can cover some of the everyday costs while you hunt for the perfect Kleos.
