Kyle Wall’s career has been inconsistent. However, the miami heat jersey‘s 2024 first-round pick has been in good form recently.
The Heat are looking to add more points for the 7-foot center when they host the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night.
The Heat have won four of their last six games, including a 115-105 victory over the Houston Rockets on Saturday. Wall played the entire fourth quarter, contributing 13 points and a game-high 15 rebounds.
“The big man played exceptionally well today,” commented Heat star Bam Adebayo. Wall has averaged 12.5 points and 11.0 rebounds in his last eight games. “He was challenged in plays (by Coach Erik Spoelstra), and he responded. We need him to maintain that consistent mentality.”
The 6-foot-10 (approximately 2.08 meters) Adebayo said he likes Spoelstra’s decision to pair him with Wall in a twin-tower lineup.
“(Will) listens to my advice,” Adebayo said. “Sometimes he ignores Spoelstra’s instructions. But over the summer (starting with 6 a.m. practice), I’ve built up enough trust in him.”
“He has to earn his playing time through his performance, but I can feel his progress when he plays alongside me.”
The Heat are 18-11 at home and will be without All-Star Norman Powell (groin injury) for this game. Powell leads the team in scoring with 22.5 points per game.
With Powell out on Saturday, Dwyane Wade Jersey returned Tyler Herro to the starting lineup. This is Herro’s first start since January 15 – he has been plagued by a broken rib. Herro, who has only played 16 games this season, ranks second on the team in scoring (21.0 points per game).
Meanwhile, the Nets are only 7-23 on the road.
