Path of Exile 3.27 takes us back into the Hive Fortress, and the main task there is to keep Ailith safe while you clear enemies and move forward. This mission looks simple at first, but it can get chaotic fast if you do not act. You will earn useful rewards, and a clean run can save you PoE 1 Currency that you might otherwise spend on revives or repairs.
Your job is to be Ailith’s protector. When you step into a new area, enemies will come quickly. Move to meet them before they reach her. Draw their attention, take their hits, and stop them from swarming her. If you wait for enemies to reach Ailith, they will make the fight harder and you will risk a wipe.
Use the purple flames in the rooms. These flames heal or shield you and Ailith when you stand inside them. Watch Ailith’s health bar and your own health bar. If either of you drops fast, move into the nearest purple flame and stay inside until you get the buff. The flames are not decorative; they change fights and help you win tight moments.
Positioning matters more than raw damage in many parts of the Fortress. Try to stand between Ailith and the largest groups. Pull enemies into choke points where you can handle them one group at a time. When possible, fight a short distance away from Ailith so you can control where the enemies go. Do not let foes surround her.
Think ahead about spawn points and hazards. When you enter a corridor or a room, look for likely enemy paths and for traps you can use. If you see an environmental danger, lead enemies into it instead of letting them hit Ailith. If the area has a narrow doorway, hold that spot and make it hard for the swarm to come through. When Ailith must wait, make a safe bubble around her by standing on the side that blocks the most enemy routes.
Keep your actions simple and steady: intercept, block, and then heal. When enemies charge, move to meet them. When the fight calms, step back and use the purple flame. If Ailith starts to fall behind, slow down and clear the path before you move on. If you follow these steps you will keep the run efficient and you will avoid unnecessary spending of PoE 1 Currency.
A successful escort is active, not passive. Stay alert to new spawns, use the purple flames quickly, and place yourself where you can control the flow of battle. Stay between the danger and Ailith, move enemies into tighter spaces when you can, and let the environment help you.
