Once you enter the Chasm, make your way down using the agility shortcut or the lifts. Speak to the Voice of Yama and Yama himself to sign the necessary contract, then head west to find the Infernal Shale deposits.
Two Mining Options:
Infernal Shale Deposits: Very slow but extremely AFK-up to 2-3 minutes of idle time per interaction. Expect 170-180 shale per hour, which crushes down into ~220 Crushed Infernal Shale.
Infernal Shale Rocks: Much faster, yielding 800-900 shale per hour. Crushed shale is stackable, making banking unnecessary.
Using a chisel, each piece of shale turns into 1-3 Crushed Infernal Shale, currently valued at ~3,000 GP each. This means a single mined shale could be worth up to 9,000 GP. At top rates, you’re looking at a crazy 2.8M GP per hour, AFK. For those skilled in three-tick mining, that number can climb to 5-6M GP/hr, with XP rates hitting ~30K/hr.
Do note a small bug: chiseling large stacks may consume extra shale unintentionally-expect a fix soon.
2. Demon Slaying with Condition Farming-High-Risk, High-Reward

Deep in the Chasm are various demons-Black Demons, Greater Demons, and more-that carry colored stars above their heads, indicating unique kill conditions. What Are the Conditions?
There are five potential star colors, each requiring a specific type of finishing blow:
Purple Star: Kill with a heavy ranged weapon

Yellow Star: Kill while the demon is bound or snared
You only need the final blow to meet the condition-other damage methods don’t matter. Each demon’s condition cycles after 32 kills.

Heavy Ranged (Purple): Hunter’s Sunlight Crossbow-cheap, effective mini-blowpipe.
Spell Kill (Green): Dark Demonbane spells with a Purging Staff or water spells (demons are weak to water).
Special Attack (Red): Purging Staff shines again; its spec refunds if the demon dies from it. Alternative: DDS or Burning Claws + Death Charge.
Two-Handed Melee (Blue): Noxious Halberd or similar 2H weapons work well.
Bound Kill (Yellow): Use standard spellbook’s Bind, then switch to melee (e.g., Emberlite or Arkite) to finish the kill.
Expected Profit:
Exact drop rates are unknown. Anecdotal evidence suggests 1 contract per ~500-1000 kills, but some players have had better luck. If we conservatively assume 1 contract per hour, this could be 3-6M GP/hr. But without drop rate confirmation, this method sits firmly in the “speculative but potentially busted” category. Bring versatile gear for all conditions-or bank often to switch.3. Yama-The New Duo Boss and Endgame Gold Machine
Yama, the namesake of the update, is a two-phase, high-intensity boss fight that offers huge loot potential for PvM veterans. While it launched with incredibly high expectations (and equally high prices), some unique drops have since crashed in value due to sheer volume. Still, Yama remains one of the most consistent and profitable PvM bosses in the game.
Overview:
Killable in solo or duo setups.
Profit mainly from: Oath Plate Armor, Soul Flame Horn, Contract drops, Oath Plate Shards, and Forgotten Lockboxes.
Expected GP/hr: ~10M per person
Setup & Strategy:
For soloing, you’ll need:
Emberlite + Purging Staff (for Synapse mechanic)
Thraws, Burning Claws, Divine Super Combat Pot, Cooked Dashing Kebab, and plenty of food/restores
Sandfuse Serum, Death Charge, and mage + melee switches
The fight has three distinct phases:
1.Phase One: React to Yama’s prayer changes and special attacks. Use sigils to mitigate AOE damage. Kill jellyfish-like spawns with double Death Charge to regain spec energy.
2.Judge of Yama Phase: Midway intermission. Alternate melee and mage hits while navigating platform patterns. Standing on the judge during its fireball attack causes self-damage-use this to speed it up.
3.Phase Two: Same as Phase One, but with deadlier specials. The inferno boulder is especially lethal unless mitigated with fire sigils. Watch your run energy.
4.Phase Three: A magic-heavy, ranged-from-a-distance phase where you dodge triple fireballs and waves using a 3-tile movement pattern. Yama alternates prayers quickly, so attentive prayer flicking is essential.
Notes:
Soul Flame Horn doesn’t function in solo, so rely on Emberite specs to lower Yama’s defense.
