Modern Warfare 4 adds Hajin and Zodiac to Warzone on November 6, so smarter first-week drops start with treating them as different environments, not alternate versions of the same map. Your squad should prepare an edge landing, a contested backup and a flexible weapon setup for each one. The CoD MW4 Bot Lobbies page can fit into a practice plan while your team works on calls before the first match.
How should Modern Warfare 4 squads choose first drops
Start with edge positions that offer a clean route toward the middle of the first circle on both Hajin and Zodiac. The exact POI names, circle speeds and contract mix may change in the November 6 patch, so a fixed landing script could age badly within a few hours.
Give every map two planned openings before queueing. One should be a safer edge drop with several exits, while the other can be a contested named building for games where your squad wants early fights. This keeps a crowded landing from turning into a thirty-second wipe, and it gives everyone a clear call when the preferred spot is already occupied.
Mark the nearest bridge, ridge and water crossing during the first few matches. A route that looks safe on the map may become a trap after the first circle closes, especially when several teams reach the same road or vehicle lane.
Contract choices should follow a simple order: intel first, supply second and high-risk hunts last. UAV towers or similar information tools can reveal rotation pressure before your squad spends time chasing extra loot.
What should Modern Warfare 4 loadouts cover on Hajin and Zodiac
A mid-to-long-range assault rifle or battle rifle paired with a close-range SMG gives you the safest starting setup for Hajin and Zodiac. That pairing covers open sightlines, streets and indoor fights without forcing the whole squad into a narrow range.
Use the Cronen Osprey and CSG-35 during the first week if you want your Multiplayer progress to feed your Warzone kits. Running both weapons in parallel also gives your squad a practical way to learn their recoil and attachment options before committing to a favorite build.
Keep plate capacity and gas protection ahead of flashy streak choices while the maps are unfamiliar. Buy Station locations may place a purchase in a dangerous area, and prices can differ from the current map, so carry enough Cash or secure a reliable contract route before planning around an early loadout.
Do not lock the team into sniper-only drops on day one. Familiar sights on a dependable rifle can be more useful than an unfinished blueprint when sightlines, building angles and cover spacing are still unknown.
Audio also needs a quick adjustment after one match on each map. A dense urban section on Hajin may produce short indoor sound cues, while a more open Zodiac route can make distant shots and vehicle noise more useful. Change the mix after real matches instead of trying to solve both maps with one setting.
How can squads improve rotations after November 6
Review every early death by recording the exact building, ridge or crossing that caused it. On Hajin and Zodiac, a shared note will teach your squad more than a general landing guide because it captures the routes your own team actually struggles to read.
Assign one player to locate two Buy Stations during each match while the others gather loot and plates. This small job makes the next purchase less dependent on luck, especially when familiar timing from the current map no longer applies.
Test available boats, trucks and air transport on Zodiac before trusting them for a late rotation. Circle pulls may favor different vehicle routes there than on Hajin, and a path that survives the first gas movement may become unsafe during the next one.
Use one ping for a threat and two for loot, then keep the channel quiet enough for the important call to stand out. Clear communication matters more when nobody knows which rooftops, stairwells or alleys are likely to hold another squad.
Check which map appears more often during peak hours and spend your note-taking time accordingly. If Hajin receives twice as many playlist appearances as Zodiac during the opening weekend, learning its safe exits first will give the squad more useful repetitions.
After your first sessions, pair weapon-rank work with Warzone placements so both progression tracks move forward. You can then use MW4 Leveling Boosting as the next step when your squad wants more time to prepare weapon setups and practice consistent drop calls.
