The Problem with the Necromancer’s Damage Potential
One of the key reasons the Necromancers are falling behind in Season 9 is their insufficient damage potential compared to other classes. While the class excels at summoning hordes of minions, these minions are no longer effective in higher-end content. Unlike the Sorceress, whose spells can effortlessly eliminate groups of enemies, the Necromancer struggles to meet the scaling damage requirements, especially with the lack of Diablo 4 items that can boost minion durability and damage.
The Corpse Explosion and Bone builds, once essential to the class, have encountered scaling issues. While they were previously capable of delivering massive bursts of damage, the lack of strong damage scaling in Season 9 has diminished their effectiveness. Weak Synergy with Seasonal Mechanics

For the Necromancer, who depends on slower, more deliberate strategies involving summoning and reaping, these mechanics feel out of place and fail to synergize effectively.
