This area lies on the western edge of the world map, and reaching it requires a multi-step journey through several zones since there is no direct fast travel point to the Sanctum itself.
To get there, start by fast traveling to the nearest waypoint, The Temple of Lagon, located on the Isle of Storms. From this point, head southeast to find the exit leading south through a series of hallways. You will then enter The Temple Depths, where you must travel northeast as far as possible. Continuing forward through this zone will eventually bring you to the Sanctum of the Architect proper, where the boss Architect Liath awaits.
The Sanctum is a level 53 area filled with hostile enemies that predominantly use lightning-based attacks. Because of this, it is highly recommended to boost your Lightning Resistance and incorporate Health Leech mechanics to survive the onslaught. Architect Liath herself uses a variety of lightning attacks, including ground hazards, teleportation, summoned constructs, and lightning mines, making the fight challenging and requiring careful dodging and strategy.
Since the route back to the Sanctum is long and involves defeating many enemies, it is advised to use the portal (default key T) to return to town after completing your objectives. This prevents having to retrace your steps and fight through the Temple of Lagon and Temple Depths again.
The Sanctum of the Architect is also tied to important questlines and Prophecies, such as the Destrier Mesembria Prophecy, which tasks players with defeating Architect Liath. Completing this objective is crucial for progressing through the Lagon campaign and advancing the story toward confronting the Ruler of the Western Seas.
