Top 10 Oldschool Runescape Runescape Quests Games for Beginners
There are many quests that can be completed within Oldschool Runescape to reduce early grind. Complete any, or all, of the quests listed below is highly recommended due to the vast amounts of experience they offer new players.
Below are the top 10 OSRS quests that players new to the game can make use of to drastically increase their character’s stats in a very short time.
1. Waterfall Quest
First up on this list is the most highly recommended quest for any beginner player: Waterfall Quest.
This quest instantly increases your attack and strength through the use of the level 3 character. There is no need to work before you attempt the quest. The quest shouldn’t take too long either. But you’ll need to take food with you because you must complete levels of 86 Fire Giants and a level 84 Moss Giant during the quest.
2. Witch’s House
Next up on the list is another very beginner-friendly quest you can do early on, Witch’s House.
Witch’s House is highly recommended to take on after Waterfall Quest, as you did not earn any Hitpoints XP during the first quest. It’s a simple and short adventure that will not require much effort at all. You will need to bring weapons and food as you’ll be facing four different monsters simultaneously. If you came here with a new character immediately following Waterfall Quest, your Hitpoints will increase from 10 to 24 following the completion of this brief task.
3. Grand Tree
Next up, we have another quest that provides a ton of XP for relatively little effort from you, Grand Tree.
After completion of Grand Tree, you will get over 26,000 XP across three different abilities. It’s not a long quest and it is prerequisite to Monkey Madness. This mid-level quest will grant you 110,000 XP across all your melee and hitpoints levels. It has one drawback it requires you to battle a level 172 Black Demon. But, you’ll be glad to know that this can be completed from a very early level regardless, as the demon is easily safe-spotted with Ranged or Magic melee halberds.
4. The Knight’s Sword
The Knight’s Sword, the fourth quest in this list, is another quest that offers a good amount of first XP. It is also possible to play the quest for free and anyone can profit of it instantly.
You must complete this quest to get to the level 53 Ice Giants and 57 Ice Warriors.
It is highly recommended you complete this quest before performing any smithing. The quest will take you from level 1 through 29 smithing once you’ve completed The Knight’s Sword, skipping the majority of bronze and iron smithing. The quest itself isn’t very long either, you’ll save hours that you would have spent in the beginning smithing levels as well.
5. The Dig Site
There’s another quest to complete which can save your time grinding for skill XP. This is known as Dig Site. Dig Site. Additionally there is no need to fight for this quest.
This quest will require you to unlock Herblore by completing the Druidic Ritual quest and raise her to the level of 10 first. However, no mining level is required before starting the Dig Site. Thus, completion of the Dig Site before doing any levels of the Mining skill is suggested. After completing this quest, you will go directly from level 1 to 31.
6. Tree Gnome Village
Next up on the list is the sixth crucial quest for all beginners to complete the Tree Gnome Village. This quest requires you to beat a level 112 Khazard Warlord, however he is much more straightforward than the level of his combat would suggest.
Other than that, this particular quest grants a whole heap of Attack XP. This is also a condition to complete Monkey Madness, which you’ll definitely want to complete when you reach the lower mid levels. Tree Gnome Village doesn’t require any combat abilities, so it’s easy enough to finish.
7. 7.Animal Magnetism
Reward: 1,000 Crafting 1,000 Fletching, 1,000 Slayer 1,000 Fletching, 1,000 Fletching, 1,000 Woodcutting XP
The seventh beginner quest is one new players must be able to complete. Animal Magnetism is an extremely important quest to finish if you want to level Ranged at all.
While the XP rewards aren’t exactly the best compared to many other quests on this list Ava’s Device is essential for reducing the cost of range. It automatically retrieves the ammo you’ve fired the majority of the time. This means that you will have to click less frequently to find your ammo as time passes. This will result in an increase in XP over the long run. The prerequisites for this quest are more than average for novices, but well worth it regardless.
8. Dragon Slayer
Rewards include: 18,650 Strength XP as well as 18,650 Defense XP
The Dragon Slayer quest is next in the eighth. It’s possibly the most difficult quest for new players. The quest will require 32 Quest points, meaning it may take some time to finish.
Dragon Slayer is also the first of the quests that is a fairly long one. The rewards are certainly substantial. You’ll need completion of this one to be able to equip runes, dragon platebodies, or green d’hide bodies but it also grants nearly 40,000 in two of your melee statistics for a pretty straightforward boss. If you’ve completed at least a portion of the previous quests, you shouldn’t have much issues with the dragon.
9. Holy Grail
The Holy Grail quest is the ninth of the quests on the list. Though this one also requires completion of Merlin’s Crystal before starting, it’s well worth the achievement of both for the enormous early prayer experience.
The quest requires you to take on a level 120 Black Knight Titan using melee. It’s a simple task even with the limited combat stats and food, as you can hit and run over the Titan repeatedly until he dies.
If you’ve not even prayed, Holy Grail will allow you to go straight between 1 and 28 Prayer.
10. 10. The Tourist Trap
Rewards: You can choose to earn 4650 XP from Two Skill (or 9,300 XP in one). You can only Smithing, Thieving and Agility.
The final item on this list is the desert hunt that is the Tourist Trap.
You’ll need to take on the level 47 Mercenary during the quest to finish the quest.
This quest can be used to gain an advantage in Agility or Thieving or both depending on your preference. The process of advancing in one skill is achievable by using the two XP options. You may also select both options to get an advantage on the reaching level 20 in each of the skills. In any situation, we advise against picking Fletching or Smithing because there are more effective methods to get them both leveled faster than the other two skills.
